Details

H62 brass plate means ordinary brass with an average copper content of 62%. On the basis of ordinary brass, the copper alloy with other elements is called special brass, which is still represented by "H", followed by the chemical symbol and average composition of other added elements. For example, the copper content of H62 is 60.5% ~ 63.5%. Symbols of cast brass beginning with ZCu followed by other elements and their average content. H62 brass plate

(1) Common brass is copper zinc binary alloy. Due to good plasticity, suitable for the manufacture of sheet, bar, wire, pipe and deep drawing parts, such as condensation pipe, heat dissipation pipe and mechanical and electrical parts. Brass with an average copper content of 62% and 59% can also be cast, called cast brass.

(2) Special brass In order to obtain higher strength, corrosion resistance and good casting performance, aluminum, silicon, manganese, lead, tin and other elements are added to the copper-zinc alloy to form special brass. Such as lead brass, tin brass, aluminum brass, silicon brass, manganese brass and so on.

(3) The α and β phases in special brasses are multi-complex solid solutions with greater strengthening effect, while the α and β phases in common brasses are simple Cu-Zn solid solutions with lower

strengthening effect, which can be seen from the data listed in Table 5. Although the zinc equivalents are equivalent, the properties of multicomponent solid solutions are not the same as those of simple binary solid solutions. Therefore, a small amount of multi hardening is a way to improve the properties of the alloy.

features

Characteristics: Common brass, has good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, plastic can also be cold state, good machinability, easy brazing and welding, corrosion resistance, but easy to produce corrosion rupture. In addition the price is cheap, is widely used in a common brass variety. H62 (i.e., four-six brass). The β phase is much harder than the α phase at room temperature, so it can be used in parts with higher loads. α+β two-phase brass can be hot worked above 600℃. α+β two-phase brass microstructure: α is bright white solid solution, β is CuZn-based ordered solid solution.

use

Uses: Can be used for all kinds of deep drawing and bending of the force parts, such as pins, rivets, washers, nuts, pipes, pneumatic gauge spring, screen, radiator parts, etc.
